Web servers that serve web pages to you are usually found in buildings called data centres. Data centres have very fast Internet connections, backup power supplies and air conditioning to keep the computers running cool. Depending on the size of the data centre, thousands or millions of websites will be served from them, so it’s important that they keep working smoothly.
